Children and young people normally transfer between the ages of 11 and 12, so that they will have the opportunity to complete a minimum of 4 years of secondary education. A Transition Planning Review takes place during the last year of primary education to allow parents/carers and professionals the opportunity to discuss the most suitable placement for their child.
A programme of educational and social activities will then take place within St Oswald’s during pupils’ final year at Primary to ensure a smooth and supported transition for all young people.
